Senga Bay Primary School
Senga Bay is located at the Lake Malawi, about 2 hours from Lilongwe. In this town Discover the World has helped to refurbish the local primary school and throughout the years a good relationship of trust established with the headmaster Thomas Ngwira. Despite the fact that in recent years several class rooms has been built the 16 classrooms are still overcrowded with sometimes more than 100 children. Volunteers are more than needed to assist teachers with teaching. Furthermore, there is time to play sports with the children on the big sand sports field next to the school and to swim in the Lake Malawi at the lodge. In consultation with Thomas there are a lot of possibilities!
Transportation by car from the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe to the Mufrasa Backpackers Lodge in Senga Bay takes about 2 hours.

A small tour including lunch costs between USD 40-50.
